SecureW2 Wins 2026 CyberSecurity Breakthrough Award

It was named Wi-Fi Security Solution of the Year for its cloud PKI and phishing-resistant, certificate-based access that extends from Wi-Fi to AI agents

SEATTLE , WA, UNITED STATES, October 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ --
SecureW2, a leader in cloud-native PKI and RADIUS solutions, has been named "Wi-Fi Security Solution of the Year" in the 2026 CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards.

Now in its 10th year, the prestigious program recognizes the top cybersecurity products and companies across the industry, from startups to Fortune 500s. This year’s awards drew thousands of nominations from around the world. SecureW2 PKI won the Solution of the

Year award after an independent panel of expert judges evaluated the platform for its innovation, performance, ease of use, functionality, value and impact.

The CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards committee recognized SecureW2 PKI as the best solution for securing wireless networks: eliminating passwords with digital certificates highly assured to operate only on trusted devices, and continuously verifying that trust, not just when a device connects.

"As AI agents are weaponized to crack traditional Wi-Fi credentials and keys, the era of both password-based and legacy passwordless network security with weak API security is officially over," said Bert Kashyap, CEO and Co-Founder of SecureW2. "SecureW2 solves this by replacing vulnerable credentials with high-assurance certificates and continuous trust evaluation for every device. We are now bringing that same rigorous security to AI itself. By providing certificates for AI agents and combining them with token authorization, we give enterprises absolute control over what these agents can access on the network and beyond. We're honored by this award, which recognizes our commitment to keeping networks secure as new technologies emerge."

Why Wi-Fi Security Matters More Than Ever:

Demand is rising for AI agent certificate use cases, however, organizations continue to have strong Wi-Fi security needs. Wi-Fi is the front door to organizational networks for employees, students, contractors and guests. Yet, many networks still authenticate users with passwords or legacy protocols such as PEAP-MSCHAPv2.

Those credentials can be phished, shared or captured in adversary-in-the-middle (AiTM) attacks. Once stolen, they give an attacker the same network access as the person they belong to.

SecureW2 PKI digital certificates remove that weak point. A non-exportable certificate lives on the device itself, so there is no password to type, steal or reuse. Access depends on the device being known and trusted, not on what someone remembers.

As AI agents automate and accelerate credential-harvesting attacks, enterprise Wi-Fi has become a prime target. Wi-Fi remains the primary front door to organizational networks for employees, contractors, and guests. Yet, many environments still rely on passwords or vulnerable legacy protocols like PEAP-MSCHAPv2, which are easily intercepted via adversary-in-the-middle (AiTM) attacks.

Recognizing this risk, some organizations move toward "passwordless" solutions but end up with a false sense of security. Weak passwordless approaches such as SCEP which use APIs with hidden passwords offer little improvement over traditional passwords or pre-shared keys.

True defense requires highly attested certificate issuance. SecureW2 eliminates these vulnerabilities by shifting authentication entirely to strong certificate-based EAP-TLS.

During our highly attested issuance process, cryptographic private keys are generated directly on the endpoint and tied to hardware keystores. This makes them strictly non-exportable, unshareable, and immune to phishing.

What the SecureW2 JoinNow Platform Does:

The SecureW2 JoinNow platform pairs a cloud-native, managed PKI with cloud RADIUS to deliver passwordless, certificate-based Wi-Fi authentication without on-premises servers. It works with the identity, device management and security tools teams already use, including Entra ID, Okta, Intune and CrowdStrike.

● Phishing-resistant access: Hardware-bound certificates replace Wi-Fi passwords, so stolen credentials can no longer open the network.
● Continuous trust enforcement: Device identity and compliance signals are evaluated continuously, not just at the moment of connection. If a device falls out of compliance, access can be restricted or revoked right away.
● Less infrastructure to run: Cloud RADIUS runs at up to 99.999% availability, with no RADIUS or NPS servers to patch, size or maintain.
● Modern certificate lifecycle: Enrollment, renewal and revocation run automatically through modern protocols along with high assurance using security signal you own
