Funding round extended: Some Behavioral Health Facilities grants

 

More time to apply for Behavioral Health Facilities grants in some categories.

The 2021-23 Behavioral Health Facilities grant application is extended for the following facility types:

  • 90 and 180-day long-term civil commitments
  • Crisis triage and stabilization for Trueblood Phase 2, King County
  • Intensive behavioral health treatment facilities
  • Peer respite
  • Secure withdrawal management and stabilization

Pre-applications for these facility types are due at 12 noon

Pacific, Dec. 29, 2021

Complete applications are due at 5 p.m. Pacific, Jan. 10, 2022.

Behavioral Health Facilities funding round summary

  • Grant funds in this round can be used for construction, renovation and acquisition of real property.
  • Funded projects must result in an increased number of beds or behavioral health service capacity.
  • The competitive funding round is open to eligible organizations that are either a community hospital or community-based behavioral health provider. Applicants must be a nonprofit organization, for-profit organization, local government or a Tribe.

Any project costs incurred prior to the date of a grant award letter are NOT eligible for reimbursement. Projects awarded funding must commit to maintaining the site as a behavioral health facility for 15 years. Projects already completed are not eligible to apply. 

Closed categories

Please note that the pre-application deadline for the following categories did NOT change and closed at noon today:

  • Crisis triage and stabilization
  • Enhanced services facilities
  • Regional needs
  • Specialized dementia care
