Serrao wins it in overtime, Loggers remain unbeaten

FOREST GROVE, Oregon – Kiana Serrao's second goal of the season clinched the Puget Sound women's soccer team's second win of the weekend, 1-0, at Pacific Sunday afternoon.

After a scoreless tie through the game's first 90

minutes, Serrao and the Loggers (7-0-1, 3-0-1 NWC) needed less than four minutes in overtime to walk away with a victory. Serrao buried the game-winning shot into the bottom-left corner.

Chaylea Tome needed four saves to hold the opposition scoreless for the seventh time in eight outings this season.

Puget Sound asserted its aggressive approach in the first half by outshooting the Boxers, 5-1. The Loggers came out with even more vigor in the second half, attempting 10 shots in the final 45 minutes of regulation. Pacific totaled just five shots for the game.
